How to Choose the Correct Sizes and Amounts of Rental Tablecloths

Tables are available in standard sizes from most rental companies as well as at most catering facilities. You have several choices to make when considering table sizes. Refer to the chart below when placing your order.

When ordering linens, be sure to plan for all of your tables, including those tables for purposes other than guest seating. Consider whether you will need tables for place cards, gifts, buffet tables, a cake table, and other "display areas"; such as those where auction items or prizes may be placed.

Our Event Center planning tool allows you to create a layout using standard table sizes and can help you keep track of how many tables you will have at your even. If you become a registered user you will also be able to use this tool to plan what linen combinations you will be using on each kind of table at your event.

Tip: A given table size can often accommodate a range of guests (for example, a 60" round seats between 8 and 10). If budget is not an issue and your room is spacious, opt for the lower end of the range to give guests extra elbow room. However, if room size and/or budget is limited, go with the maximum number of guests per table. You’ll save money because you’ll need fewer tablecloths and fewer centerpieces.
